Hollow Cocoon is a first-person psychological horror adventure set in 1980s rural Japan, where tradition and terror intertwine.
You play as Minato Jinba, a college student returning to his late mother’s hometown after learning that his grandmother is critically ill. What begins as a reluctant visit soon turns into a nightmare, as you uncover the buried truth behind the family’s dark legacy.

📖 Story

—198X, Japan.

Minato Jinba lives a quiet life in the city until one night, a phone call from his father shatters his peace—his grandmother, Kinu Miyama, is on her deathbed. Reluctantly, he travels to the remote village of Ichinose, hidden deep in the mountains.

Minato hasn’t seen his grandmother in over ten years. Ever since she refused to attend his mother’s funeral, resentment has festered in his heart.
As he journeys through the fading countryside, memories of their last conversation echo in his mind:

“The thing with silkworms… even if they could leave their cocoons, they have no mouths to eat, and their wings do not fly.”

When he arrives, he finds more than a dying relative—he finds something waiting in the shadows, and a truth that will change everything he knows about his family.
