By the flicker of candlelight, their human façades melt away, revealing their true forms: jet black wings, piercing crimson eyes, sharp horns, and sinister seals carved into their bodies. They are the Four Heavenly Kings of the netherworld, tasked with a critical mission: to find and crown the next Devil King after the previous ruler fell in battle against their eternal enemies, the Light Tribe.

Despite their fearsome reputations in the netherworld, the human realm is an enigma to them. Disguised and infiltrating human society, the Four Heavenly Kings struggle to gather intel. Frustration mounts for Aika, one of the group, as progress stalls.

Then, a breakthrough: each of the Four Heavenly Kings identifies a human who could potentially become the next Devil King. Yet, the truth remains shrouded—only one among the candidates possesses the true qualities needed to assume the throne.
