Description

Tanoshiku Omoshiroku Kanken Shōgakusei is an educational Nintendo 3DS software designed to help elementary school students learn kanji in a fun and engaging way, both at home and in classroom settings.

In response to Japan’s updated 2020 educational guidelines—which increased the number of required kanji from 1,006 to 1,026 characters for the first time in 30 years—this software provides comprehensive coverage of all required kanji. It also supports preparation for the Japan Kanji Aptitude Test (Kanji Kentei), covering levels from Grade 10 (elementary level) up to Grade 2 (high school, university, and general level).

Drawing on the educational know-how of Shogakukan’s popular learning titles, the game incorporates mini-games and interactive activities to reinforce memorization and comprehension. After gameplay sessions, players can read informative “Kanji Mini Knowledge” lessons supervised by experts from the Institute of Chinese Academy of Culture.
